A new project now underway in Klamath Falls hopes to provide a ‘safety net’ for veterans being treated for service-related issues…and that transition home needs your help.
Steve Graham and Eric Olson believe this 10 bedroom home could help to keep ‘at-risk’ veterans from becoming homeless.
“We’re going to try to get the veterans in here from rehab.” Explains Steve Graham of the Veterans Enrichment Center. “Just get them off the streets and see if we can’t help them out, and get them knowing the life they want, instead of what they’re stuck with.”
Grahm adds the home could help to provide a buffer for vets that have completed rehabilitation services…
“Rehab from White City, and from Roseburg.”
“Whether it’s PTSD, it could be any type of service-related issue.” Notes Eric Olson of the Veterans Enrichment Center.

Olson notes that they’re also looking for furnishings…
“We need rugs, we need drapes, we need couches, chairs, lamps, tables, we need a refrigerators and a stove.”
The house could provide a temporary home for 18 to 20 veterans once it’s fully furnished.
“And I think it’s going to make a huge difference in our community.” States Eric Olson. “Something to be proud of.”
Graham and Olson hope to have the Veterans Enrichment Center open by Christmas.
An open house at the vets home will be held this Saturday from 10 to 2.
They’re located at 1431 Avalon Street, down a lane just across from the Klamath Falls City Schools Administration Building.
