Police are investigating another shooting in Eagle Point. The call came in around 12:40 Wednesday afternoon as a suicide on N. Buchanan road.
When police arrived, officers found 24 year old Joseph Faaeteete in the garage– who died from an apparent gun shot wound.
Further investigation and witness statements led to the arrest of the victim’s roommate, 26 year old Dylan Ashmun.
Ashmun is lodged in the Jackson county jail on charges of first degree manslaughter and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
After a search of the house, officers found multiple firearms, drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Two of three people who left the house prior to police arrival have been identified and located.
Police are still looking for a third subject. The Oregon State Police is asking this person to come forward and contact the Central Point patrol office.
The investigation is ongoing.
