Wildfire destroys firefighter’s home

Calif. –(KNVN) Driving around the area of Trinity Pines, California, firefighter Jeff Brusatori sees destruction, devastation, and the debris of his own home.

On Friday at around 4 p.m. he drove by the house on his way to fuel up the fire engine.

By then, it was already too late.

“It was about 100 to 200 foot flame length, and it was moving at 40 to 70 miles an hour, winds just pushing it through here,” Brusatori said.

He continued on with his crew, the only available fire personnel in the area that day.

“I’m a firefighter. We gotta save our community and do what we can,” he said.
