Medford Police on scene of armed robbery with suspects inside residence

Update (1/12 4:55pm) Medford Police say SWAT made entry and took both male suspects into custody with out incident. The situation is safe.

Two suspects are in a home on 1500 block of Grand Avenue believed to be armed. MPD says it all stemmed from a marijuana drug deal gone bad. Two male victims are safe.


Medford, Ore. — Medford Police say they are on scene of a possible armed robbery in the 1500 block of Grand Avenue. Officials posted on the Medford Police Facebook page that there are two suspects inside a residence.

Police are asking for you to stay out of the area until this is resolved.

The Medford School District says Wilson Elementary School is currently under precautionary lockout mode due to heavy police activity in the area.

Parents and guardians are being asked to come and pick up their students. Here is the full message to parents and guardians from the Medford School District:

Due to police activity in the area, Wilson Elementary School is currently in precautionary lockout mode. Medford Police school resource officers are at Wilson assisting. We are allowing students who have rides home to leave the school, but are holding students in the gym who ride the bus or walk home until their parents or guardians can pick them up. We will monitor the situation and continue to post updates.
