Winner draws $425-million powerball in California

Milpitas, Cali. — (NBC News) One ticket has matched all the winning numbers for the $425 million dollar Powerball jackpot.

California lottery officials say the ticket was purchased at a Chevron gas station in Milpitas.

Ten miles north of San Jose in the outskirts of the San Francisco Bay Area, someone bought the ticket with numbers 1, 17, 35, 49, 54 and a Powerball number of 34.

The store gets a $1 million for selling the winner.

The jackpot is estimated at $425.3 million with a cash payout option of $242.2 million.
