MIAMI, Fla. – A pedestrian bridge collapsed in Miami, killing several people Thursday.
NBC News reports multiple vehicles were crushed by the walkway near Florida International University’s campus.
The bridge was not yet open to foot traffic and was lifted off its temporary supports above a seven-lane roadway on Saturday.
The walkway was intended to connect the city of Sweetwater to the school.
