JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Police in Jersey City are responding to reports of an active shooter and gunfire in the neighborhood.
Several roads have been shut down and at least one school is under lockdown after a shooting near Martin Luther King Drive and Bayview Avenue.
Continuous gunshots could be heard for at least 20 seconds prior to 2:00 p.m. local time.
NBC reports one officer was killed, two more were wounded and a civilian was hurt.
No one is in custody.
