Salem, Ore. — Good news for Oregonians. Employment has grown by 5,700 jobs in April.
The Oregon Employment Department says the unemployment rate held at 4.5%. That’s down from 5.7% last April.
Professional and business services, the government, and a few other sectors added thousands of jobs last month.
More than 64,000 jobs have been added over the past year, putting the growth rate at 3.6%.
