Over 500 motorcyclists take part in this year’s Rogue Valley Toy Run

Central Point, Ore. — Hundreds of motorcyclists braved the cold December air this morning to ride for a cause. Over 500 riders met at the Touvelle Lodge for the Rogue Valley Toy Run.

Every motorcyclist brings an toy and donates them at the end of the ride when the group reaches the Eagles Club in Central Point. The toys are then donated to local charities, who distribute them throughout the community.

“It’s truly a local event, it’s a very special event. Some of these people have been coming every year,” said organizer Gene Nelson.

This is the 35th year of the Rogue Valley Toy Run. It’s been held on the first Saturday in December since 1980.
