Propane truck trailer tips in Medford

0930-tanker-truckMedford, Ore. – Firefighters, police, and hazmat crews responded to a semi-truck truck hauling propane that had rolled its trailer at low speed.

Fire District 3 said they responded to the area of Mason Way in Medford around 8:00 Thursday night.

Firefighters said the driver took a corner incorrectly at a low rate of speed. The driver tried to correct, but inadvertenly drove the rear axles of the trailer into a ditch, causing the load to tip over onto its side.

FD3 said no propane leaked, but hazmat crews were called in as a precaution. Crews were able to right the load and clear the scene using three tow trucks along with a number of airbags and lift straps.

There were no reported injuries.
