Recent gun burglaries may be connected

Medford, Ore. — Police believe two separate gun burglaries in Jackson and Siskiyou Counties are connected.

Newly released surveillance video shows the break-in at Guns R Us in Medford. Police say early Thursday morning, two suspects broke into the store and stole 4 guns in a smash and grab crime that took less than 19 seconds. NBC5 News first broke the story on Friday.

In a separate incident on Saturday, the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a report of a commercial burglary in the Fort Jones area. The owners discovered the break in after the suspects had left the scene. After an investigation, officers determined that one suspect and one accomplice broke into a display case and stole 13 handguns. They fled the scene undetected.

Anyone with information on either crime is urged to call police.
