Crabbing season is underway in Oregon

640x360_51105B00-QLKJHOre. — Oregon’s crabbing season is officially underway.

The crabbing season is starting late, due to high levels of domoic acid. The Department of Agriculture says the acid amounts are now below the level of concern.

DOA and others in the seafood industry set the starting price of crab at $2.90 per pound.
