Parkerson is accused of shooting Deputy Jason Weber once in the face, and once in the stomach in August of 2014 during a traffic stop.

“We have the trial for William Jack Parkerson, that’s scheduled to start on Tuesday with motions,” said Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge. “We anticipate we’ll start jury selection on Wednesday.  It will be a multiple week trial.”

Deputy Weber is continuing to recover from his wounds. He’s since retired from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office, and now works for the O.L.C.C. in Deschutes county.

Jackson County Judge David Hoppe is scheduled to preside over the trial.
