Sanders endorses Clinton

NC_sanders0712_1500x845(NBC News) — Senator Bernie Sanders offered his endorsement to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign Tuesday, bringing their drawn-out rivalry on the campaign trail to an end.

“This campaign is not really about Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders. This campaign is about the needs of the American people and addressing the very serious crises that we face,” Sander said while speaking at a Clinton campaign rally in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. “And there is no doubt in my mind that as we head into November, Hillary Clinton is far and away the best candidate to do that.”

Sanders still hasn’t formally suspended his own campaign because of procedural reasons ahead of the upcoming Democratic National Convention.
