School Exclusion Day approaching

0216 immunizationSalem, Ore. — Wednesday, February 17th is School Exclusion Day, that means you must have proof of your children’s updated vaccine records. Parents will otherwise not be able to send their child to school.

State law requires all children in public and private schools, child-care facilities, and head start to have the latest records or proof of exemption. Children will be sent home if these records are not up-to-date.

Just last year, health officials kept more than 4,600 children out of school for not complying.
