Original story: MEDFORD, Ore. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is reportedly investigating a suspicious death in Medford.

JCSO didn’t release many details, but deputies said the death occurred at a property in the 2400 block of Finley Lane in west Medford.

As of 11:00 a.m. Thursday, medical examiner detectives were at the scene along with the Central Point Police Department and the Medford Police Department, JCSO said.

The sheriff’s office says at this point it’s unclear what caused the death.

“At this point, it’s just determining whether it is a criminal case and if turns criminal then the investigation really begins and then we have to determine exactly what happened and move on from there,” said Aaron Lewis with the sheriff’s office.

Lewis says JCSO has responded to calls at the same home in the past. He says now it’s a waiting game as the experts conduct their investigation.

A neighbor told us police were asking for them to send in any security camera footage of the area they had.

Investigators said further information will follow.
