Trump digs in

NC_campaignam0811_1500x845Detroit, Mich. (NBC News) — Hillary Clinton is continuing to go after Republican votes as she prepares for her major economic speech in Detroit Thursday.

“I am determined that we’re going to build more and we’re going to be able to create more businesses and more jobs,” Clinton says.

Donald Trump calls her record unimpressive.

This week, emails obtained by a conservative group suggest the Clinton Foundation asked the State Department for favors. Her campaign says that never happened.

“That’s the old pay to play system the American people are sick and tired of,” Republican VP Nominee Mike Pence says.

The Clinton campaign also raised eyebrows when the father of the Orlando shooter, Seddique Mateen, was spotted sitting behing Clinton at a Florida rally.

Clinton disavowed his support and Trump has used the controversy to tie Democrats to radical Islamists.
