Two injured from grease fire in Grants Pass

0808 fireGrants Pass, Ore. — Two people are recovering after suffering injuries from a grease fire.

Rogue River Fire said they responded to the fire on the 6000 block of Rogue River Highway in Grants Pass Sunday night.

The two people tried to put out the grease fire with water, which only increases the flames.

One person suffered burns, while the other, who suffered smoke inhalation, was taken to the hospital.

The fire was eventually put out with a fire extinguisher. If you do have a grease fire, baking soda is safer to use than water.
