$50,000 lotto prize remains unclaimed

0504 PowerballSalem, Ore. – A lottery ticket sold in Grants Pass worth $50,000 has gone unclaimed for nearly a year, and will expire on Friday.

The Oregon Lottery said the Powerball ticket was sold in the afternoon of May 6th, 2015. Lottery officials won’t reveal the exact location in Grants Pass where the ticket was sold.

The winning numbers for the ticket are 23-24-27-39 and Powerball number 30.

Lottery officials are also waiting on other unclaimed prizes in Oregon, including a $1 million Mega Millions prize that was sold in Newport on January 13th, and

According to the Oregon Lottery, when lottery prizes go unclaimed, the money goes back to the state to fund education, state parks, watershed enhancement, and economic development.
