15-year-old boy arrested

NC_teenarrest0924_700x394St. Paul, Minn. — (KARE) The arrests of a 15-year-old boy and his mother, Sunday, in St. Paul, Minnesota, have sparked outrage in the community after the family alleged that excessive force was used.

Edna Waddle, the teen’s mother, said the confrontation began after her younger son, 11-year-old Tyrell Tucker, allegedly hit a man with a stick in the same park where she was attending a church picnic.

After officers responded to this incident, eventually agreeing to release 11-year-old Tyrell to his mother, one of the officers allegedly scolded Ms. Waddle for her parenting practices. It was at this point that her 15-year-old son Tyree heard the officer use a derogatory comment about her weight.

“He said, maybe you should be watching your kids instead of being in the buffet line eating with your (expletive),” alleged Ms. Waddle’s 15-year-old son Tyree, who was later arrested for his subsequent actions.

Tyree then asked for the officers badge number, possibly leading to the arrest and the struggle that ensued.
