Sarasota Springs, Utah (KSL) — A 9-year-old Utah boy is home safe after being kidnapped Tuesday, and he owes his safety to his quick thinking and special watch.
The boy says a strange man approached him on the street while he was walking to a friend’s house.
“He just picked me up and said ‘you’re coming with me little boy,'” he says.
The man put the boy in his car and drove away, but after just minutes, the boy unlocked the door and jumped out while the car was in motion.
He ran and hid, and using his GizmoGadget smart-watch made for kids, he called his step-dad who arrived quickly to rescue him.
