In honor of Veterans Day, many local restaurant chains are offering deals for those who served or are currently serving.

Olive Garden, Applebee’s, Outback, Hometown Buffet, Texas Roadhouse and Red Robin are among those participating.

Restaurants

  • Applebee’s – In honor of their services, veterans and active duty military get a free meal.
  • Chili’s – Veterans, retirees, and active duty personnel can choose a free entree from a select menu on November 11.
  • Chipotle – From 3 p.m. – close, veterans, active duty members, and military spouses can buy one small burrito, bowl, or salad and get one free.
  • HomeTown Buffet – Guests with proof of service can enjoy a free buffet and drinks.
  • McGrath’s Fish House – On Friday, vets and active military personnel will be treated to a free seafood meal from a special menu. The menu features entrees such as the All American Bacon Cheeseburger, Shrimp Louie & Chowder, and Sesame Chicken Tenders.
  • Olive Garden – Current and former service members can choose a free meal from a select menu. Valid for dine in only; proof of service required.
  • Outback Steakhouse – This year, all current and former service members with I.D. can enjoy two steakhouse specials: A free Bloomin’ Onion with a choice of beverage, 15% off the check for military personnel and their families from November 12 – December 31.
  • Sizzler – From open – 4 p.m., all current and former military members can pair a free steakhouse meal with a beverage. Entree choices include Tri Tip Steak and Malibu Chicken; beverage choices include fountain drinks, coffee, or tea.
  • Red Robin – With a military I.D., vets and active duty members can sup on a Red’s Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Fries.
  • Denny’s – Active, inactive, and retired military personnel can build a free Grand Slam from 5 a.m. – 12 p.m. The breakfast includes a choice of four items, such as buttermilk pancakes, eggs, turkey bacon, sausage links, and english muffins.
  • Red Lobster – Veterans and active duty military can visit to get a free appetizer or dessert on November 10 and 11.
  • Texas Roadhouse Free lunch for veterans on November 11.
  • Peet’s Coffee & Tea – Current and former service members can sip on a free small coffee or tea on November 11.

Miscellaneous

  • Army Corps of Engineers – This Veterans Day, veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families enjoy free admission to USACE-operated recreation areas. This includes access to lakes and river projects, as well as swimming beach and boat launch fees.
  • Home Depot – This year, Home Depot is honoring Veterans Day with two specials: A free Build a Veteran’s Day Jet workshop for kids ages 5 -12. The event runs from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., and includes a craft, certificate of achievement, workshop apron, and commemorative pin while supplies last. — A 10% discount on purchases.
  • Lowe’s – On November 11, all veterans and their family can receive 10% off purchases.
  • The National Park Service – All visitors receive free admission to National Parks.
  • Walgreens – This Veterans Day, customers with Walgreens Balance Rewards cards and valid military I.D. can take 20% off all eligible purchases.
