VP Pence receives COVID vaccine

(NBC News) Vice President Mike Pence received the COVID-19 vaccine Friday in a televised event designed to promote the vaccine and boost confidence in its effectiveness. Pence’s wife, Karen, and U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams also received the vaccine.

The Moderna vaccine is as effective as the Pfizer vaccine currently in use, but is easier to ship and store.  It does not require sub-zero storage.
