Woman killed on I-5 near Ashland

0803 I-5 FATALUpdate (08/03 4:40 p.m. ) — Police have identified the woman who was killed on I-5 as 23-year-old Ashland resident Kasha Rose Jenson.


Ashland, Ore. — A woman was killed after being struck by traffic on I-5 late Tuesday night. It happened just before 10:30 near Exit 18 in Ashland.

The unidentified victim is described as a woman in her mid to late twenties, with long dark hair.

Police say no drivers have been charged and they are asking for help identifying the victim.

“We don’t know exactly but it looks like she was either walking along the roadway or may have jumped off of the overpass,” said Oregon State Police Sergeant Jeff Proulx. “If anybody has a friend that maybe hasn’t come home or is missing, please give us a call.”

Police are still investigating what happened and are asking any witnesses to call OSP dispatch at 541-776-6111.
