SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. – Crews have reportedly gained the upper hand fighting a wildfire north of Yreka.
The fire started near Badger Mountain Road and Hawkinsville Humbug Road on Saturday.
An evacuation warning was in effect for residents in the area, but it has since been lifted.
As of 6:20 a.m. Wednesday, the fire was 50% contained and 557 acres in size.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
