Barn fire in Grants Pass deemed “suspicious”

GRANTS PASS, Ore. – The cause of a barn fire in south Grants Pass is under investigation.

Rural Metro Fire said just before midnight on June 3, a barn on Harbeck Road caught fire.

The fire was quickly contained and nearby wildlands and structures were saved.

Firefighters said the barn was unoccupied, but there was evidence of “transient use” on the property.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire, which was considered suspicious.
