Biden honors fallen officer, signs immigration orders

WASHINGTON, D.C. (NBC News) President Biden visited the U.S. Capitol Tuesday evening to pay respect to Brian Sicknick, the Capitol Police officer that died in last month’s riot.

Prior to the visit, President Biden signed his latest round of executive action, this time focusing on immigration.

“I’m not making new law, I’m eliminating bad policy,” Mr. Biden said as he signed orders to reunite families, reform the system for requesting asylum and review legal immigration policies.

At the same time, he warned migrants not to try to cross the border illegally.
