Bomb threat targets Klamath County high school

Chiloquin, Ore. — About 140 students were evacuated from Chiloquin High School Thursday morning due to a bomb threat.

Staff at Chiloquin High School were notified of the threat shortly before 10:00 a.m.

The school’s vice principal said, “We had a student report a handwritten message threat on our walls in the bathroom.”

Notifications were sent to parents, and students were evacuated from the school.

“We bussed our students off campus, and had the Klamath County Sheriff’s office come in, and did a sweep with a dog, and three officers,” the vice principal said.

Police completed their search of the school, and students returned shortly before 11:30.

If found, the person responsible for the bomb threat will face immediate disciplinary action up to an expulsion.
