Cave Junction church falls victim to arson three times this year

CHURCH FIRE

Cave Junction, Ore.– A Cave Junction pastor is pleading for an arsonist to stop attacking his church.  This after the building is set on fire for a third time this year.

Community Bible Church and Christian Academy has fallen victim to a handful of vandalism crimes just this year.  The most recent attack happening Sunday morning.

The church’s pastor Dave Gordon say  they believe the suspect poured gasoline and lit the church door on fire.  The entrance is now boarded up.

Pastor Gordon says the continued crime is starting to wear on the church members, but they still want to offer forgiveness to the offender.

“I would assume its the same person,” he says.  “We dedicated some time last Sunday for prayer for the individual.  What we really want is for them to get the help they need.”

If you have any information about the incident, contact the Josephine County Sheriffs Department.
