As NBC5 news first reported in October, Batzer construction was hired to build the new 4,000 square foot commercial space located on Center Drive across the street from the South Medford Walmart.
Some commission members couldn’t contain their excitement for the new burger joint.
“I need to clear my conscience and notify everybody that I really have a passion for Five Guys burgers,” joked SPAC Commissioner Rick Whitlock. “I’m confident that I can be fair and impartial, weighing the standards that we have, but I’m certainly anxious to bite into one.”
Construction could begin this spring.
