Fay Fire prompts evacuation warnings

Update (07/06/17 11:20 a.m.)  – The Fay Fire has grown to 400 acres and is 25% contained. Evacuation warnings are still in place for residents along Miner Creek, French Creek and Highway 3 north of the fire up to French Creek on the west side.


Siskiyou County, Calif. – Evacuation warnings are in place for residents near a fire burning south of Etna, California.

As of 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, the Fay Fire has burned 250 acres off Highway 3 and Fay Lane in Siskiyou County.

According to CAL FIRE, evacuation warnings are in place for Miner Creek, French Creek and Highway 3 north of the fire to French Creek on the west side.
