PORTLAND, Ore. (CNN) – Police in Oregon arrested a romance novelist for allegedly killing her husband.
Nancy Crampton-Brophy is currently being held in Portland on charges of murder and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police say the 68-year-old shot Daniel Brophy at the Oregon Culinary Institute where he worked.
He died at the scene.
Crampton-Brophy once wrote an essay titled “How to Murder Your Husband.”
She is expected back in Multnomah County Court on September 17th.
