ASHLAND, Ore. — Ashland’s iconic Restaurant, Alex’s, was forced to close it’s doors for good. The restaurant and bar has been in the heart of downtown for decades andon Saturday the owners posted a sign outside the building stating legal complications lead to the shut down of the popular restaurant.
Employees said they had no idea this was going to happen and were also notified just yesterday.
“I’m not entirely sure whats going to happen hopefully this wont be the end of it. It’s one of the better establishments we have here in town. It’s been my pleasure to work for them I’ve done security for them for several years now and I don’t know it’s all very shocking,” said employee Rajeet Napier.
NBC 5 talked to the owners of Alex’s but they said they were not ready to make any comments.
