Alzheimer’s disease education and training in Southern Oregon

It’s a heart-wrenching disease in Oregon, tens of thousands of people are living with Alzheimer’s disease.

To help family members and caregivers cope with loved ones who have Alzheimer’s disease, Oregon Care Partners was in Medford today for their 3rd Annual Caregivers Conference that focused on training and educating people about how to deal with the disease.

“According to the Alzheimer’s Association there’s approximately 60,000 people living with Alzheimer’s disease in Oregon alone. So you think about the family members those people have and we’re talking about thousands of Oregonians who are affected by this disease,” said Stephanie Barnett-Herro, the Oregon Care Partners Program Director.

The conference was free. Training and more educational materials can also be found online at their website www.oregoncarepartners.com .
