Attempt to recall Medford School Board members fails

Medford, Ore. — The effort to recall four Medford School Board members has failed.

Back in February Medford resident, Blake Weller, started a petition against the members saying they weren’t doing their job well.

Weller said Sally Killen, Jeff Thomas, Kimberly Wallan and Marlene Yesquen failed to comply with the board’s mission and goals during the strike.

Board member Jeff Thomas said in the end his job is to make things better for students.

“The chief petitioner was going to work very hard on having his type of candidates elected and whether or not I run again, I’m going to make sure school board members are elected to do whats right by kids,” said Weller.

4,521 signatures were needed for each board member by Monday the 12th.
