Body of missing veteran Todd McFarland found

WHITE CITY, Ore – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says family members have located the body they believe to be missing man Todd McFarland.

The 47-year-old Air Force veteran left the White City VA facility on Christmas. He was reported missing December 29th.

His truck was discovered January 2 near the 8-mile marker of Wagner Creek Road.

Search and rescue crews including family and friends of McFarland scoured the area, but heavy snow had complicated their efforts.

Family members searching today found McFarland’s body this morning about a mile away from his truck.

The medical examiner’s office is investigating the cause and manner of death.
