Father of attempted murder suspect speaks

Klamath Falls, Ore. – William Jack Parkerson and Karey Pascoe appeared in court today to face charges of attempted aggraved murder.

KOBI spoke with Karey Pascoe’s father just prior to the arraignment.

33 year old Karey Leigh Pascoe is charged in connection with the assault and attempted murder of Klamath County Deputy Jason Weber.

Her dad Tony Scialabba says he’s sick to his stomach…

“I’m just devastated over the injury to the officer. My daughter was not raised this way. She has a problem. And I want them to know our prayers are with the officer and his family.”

Police say William Jack Parkerson shot Deputy Weber twice, then fled the scene.

Bail for Parkerson and Pascoe has been set at 10 million dollars.

Scialabba says he last saw Karey when she picked up her daughter from his house…

“And after she dropped her off at the day care, they went right down the street on Bisbee – and that’s when everything happened.”

Scialabba says Karey has been in and out of prison on drug charges…

“Mostly for Meth. And I would like people to know how dangerous it is – and you can see where it leads to.”

Parkerson and Pascoe’s next court appearances are scheduled for September 8th.

Karey Pascoe has 3 children.

Her oldest son lives with his father in Nevada, an 8 year old girl lives with Pascoe’s grandmother, and a 3 year old daughter that lives with Scialabba.
