Ore. — Due to fire suppression activity for the fire burning in the Sky Lakes Wilderness area, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says parts of Lost Creek Lake will have limited access for public use.
Starting Friday and lasting until 6:00 pm on Monday, September 1, 2014, the Northern part of Lost Creek Lake will have restricted access.
The section of the lake includes, north of the Lost Creek Lake Marina extending one-half mile upstream from Payton Bridge. There is aircraft being used for firefighting efforts.
Those assets are using that section of the lake to refill with water. The Jackson County Sheriffs Office is asking people who are recreating at Lost Creek Lake this weekend to use the Southern portion of the lake and stay away from the area being used for fire suppression.
