Elba, N.Y. — (WHEC) A group of fourth graders in Elba, New York are accused of trying to poison their teacher.
Deputies say the attempt was made in the days leading up to the Christmas break.
According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, the fourth graders tried to sicken the teacher by covering her personal items in hand sanitizer.
The teacher has a severe allergy to hand sanitizer that students were told about at the beginning of the year.
