Hard freeze warning for Southern Oregon

320x180_51125C00-SBHWTA hard freeze warning is issued for most of Southern Oregon and some of Northern California.

West of the Cascades will be under the warning from 10 tonight through 9 o’clock tomorrow morning.

You should protect pipes or anything else that could be damaged by the freezing temperatures.

If someone needs shelter from the cold, there are several places around the Rogue Valley serving as a warm space:

The First Presbyterian Church of Ashland, located at 1615 Clark Avenue, is open on Monday night.

On Tuesday and Thursday, Pioneer Hall in Lithia Park is open as a shelter.

On Wednesday, the Trinity Episcopal Church, located on 44 N. 2nd street is open.

On Friday through Sunday, the City of Ashland will open a temporary shelter if the temperature gets below 20 degrees.

In Medford, the Medford Gospel Mission has two shelters:

The men’s shelter is located on 125 W. Jackson Street.

The Women & Children’s Shelter is located on 534 N.
Bartlett Street.

Men’s shelter: Wagner Hall: 540 SW Foundry Street

Women and Children’s shelter: Fikso Family Center: 530 SW Foundry Street
