Klamath Falls couple plead “not guilty” in infant son’s death

Klamath Falls, Ore. — The Klamath Falls parents charged with manslaughter in the death of their toddler son pleaded “not guilty” Friday.

Thomas and Danielle Hevener are charged with manslaughter, criminal mistreatment and child neglect.

The Klamath Falls Sheriff’s Office said their 18 month-old son died of “accidental strangulation” on February 16th.

Detectives tell NBC2 the couple left their children alone for 14 hours a day.

The couple’s other 4 children are now in protective custody.
