Mt. McKinley renamed to honor Alaskan tradition

Alaska– The tallest mountain in North America has a new name. Mt. McKinley is now called Denali.

President Obama says he’s giving the 20,300-foot high mountain its traditional Alaska native name.

Denalistands for ‘great one’ but it had been named after former President William Mckinley.
