Medford, Ore. — While the activity has calmed down, the investigation continues into last Thursday’s officer involved shooting.
One of the suspects, Wayne Pearson, was released from the hospital and booked into the Jackson County Jail.
Shavon Willard remains in “stable” condition at Asante Rogue Valley Medical Center.
The two are accused of leading police on a pursuit last Thursday afternoon.
After ramming into an undercover police car in a north Medford neighborhood, police began shooting at the suspects.
District Attorney Beth Heckart said Friday that a grand jury will determine if officers took the appropriate actions.
