Oregon woman granted clemency

angie jenkinsOre. — An Oregon woman is now out of a California jail after being granted clemency by President Obama.

Oregon Public Broadcasting reports Angie Jenkins was released from federal prison Tuesday after serving 17 years of her 30 year sentence.

A federal defender says Jenkins was picked up by her family. Jenkins was serving time for manufacturing meth in Klamath Falls.

Inmates who have served at least 10 years and demonstrated good behavior in prison are eligible for clemency.
