MEDFORD, ORE. –Bus service in the Rogue Valley is about to get scaled back.Starting Monday, the Rogue Valley Transportation District will be operating on a new schedule, with fewer options for riders.
The cuts are in response to a property-tax levy that voters rejected in the November election,along with the loss of a 3-year grant.
RVTD is cutting rides after 7PM, and cutting Saturday service.
There will also be changes to routes 1, 10, and 30 including the elimination of several bus stops.
Julie Brown with RVTD says the board of directors may try to pass another tax levy next year.
