Severe Weather Expected in Washington

The city that’s known more for its rain than its snow is bracing for ten more inches of snow by tomorrow morning. Today Seattle’s mayor told the city’s residents to stay off the roads, if at all possible, and school officials are preparing for the worst. Street crews throughout the emerald city have been busy salting and sanding the streets. Snow has been falling steadily since the weekend but forecasters say the biggest influx of snow will come tomorrow.

Even a few inches of snow has the potential to paralyze the city of Seattle. As you know, Seattle has relatively few snow plows. Forecasters say Seattle could receive as much as 16 inches of snow by Wednesday. Seattle’s annual snowfall is just under six inches.
