The Providence Festival of Trees kicks off

Medford, Ore. —  Designers and coordinators are gearing up making sure everything is perfect for the 24th annual Providence Festival of Trees.

The doors to the winter wonderland open tomorrow. This year, the event boasts trees decorated in a “Star Wars” theme, patriotic flare and sentimental “Snow White” ornaments.

“This is a real privilege for us,” said Katie Shepard, executive director for Providence Community Health Foundation. “We get to kickoff the holiday season with a fundraiser that makes a difference for Providence and like I said, it takes so many people to pull this off and it’s a start of gratitude for me.”

Last year the tree festival raised $523,000 for Providence Medford Medical Center and this year they’re hoping to raise even more.
