University of Oregon players suspended

Eugene, Ore. — The University of Oregon is banning three former basketball players from campus after rape allegations.

The Oregonian is reporting that the University confirmed the suspensions of Dominic Artis, Brandon Austin and Damyean Dotson.

They’re suspended for at least four years while the victim finishes school, the players were kicked off the basketball team in May. The student accused them of raping her at a party in March.

School administrators caught a lot of flak from students saying they weren’t transparent enough about the situation, the players were never criminally charged because the Lane County District Attorney said there was not enough evidence.
