Man burned while working on geothermal line break

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – A Klamath Falls maintenance worker was hospitalized Wednesday with second-degree burns.

The man was sprayed with scalding hot water as crews were working on a geothermal line break just outside of the old City Hall.

The incident happened shortly before 2:00 p.m.

Workers estimate the water was between 180 and 200 degrees.

The worker’s current condition is unknown.
