Medford names new City Manager

Medford, Ore.- The Medford City Council has named Brian Sjothun as the new City Manager.

Sjothun has served with the City of Medford since March, 2004. He served as the Recreation Superintendent for five months prior to becoming the Parks and Recreation Director in August, 2004. Prior to coming to the City of Medford, Brian spent 16 years with the Woodburn Recreation & Parks Department. Sjothun received his Bachelor’s degree from Warner Pacific College and completed his Master’s degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University.

“I am honored to be selected and look forward to continue serving the residents of Medford,” said Sjothun in press release sent by the City of Medford.

Sjothun’s appointment comes after more than a year of searching for a new City Manager.
